Week 1: Recognize

Week 1: Recognize – Real Success Begins with Salah

The Recognize phase begins by confronting a powerful truth: there is no true success—material or spiritual—without Allah (SWT) at the center. While many claim to live for Allah, our actions often reveal different priorities.

Key Themes:

  • Salah is the Anchor of Success
True believers are only successful when they have khushu‘ (deep focus) in their salah, as emphasized in Surah Al-Mu’minun. Without regular, meaningful prayer, we disconnect from the One who gives us our vision, purpose, and end goal.

  • The CEO Analogy
Just as an employee can't thrive without ever meeting their CEO, we can’t expect to fulfill our purpose if we don’t regularly “check in” with Allah through salah.

  • Time is a Spiritual Investment
The activity this week is a practical time audit. Track how you spend your time every 30 minutes to assess whether your actions align with your goals and your connection to Allah.

  • The Deeper Question is Contentment
Even if you’ve achieved worldly success—wealth, family, titles—are you truly content? Real success is paired with sakinah (inner peace), and that only comes from a heart connected to Allah.

Action Step: Track your time daily in 30-minute intervals. At the end of the week, assess whether your time reflects your purpose and relationship with Allah. Use this data to begin realigning your life around salah.
